Halloween 2009

We had such a fun and full day yesterday!!! It was so fun having Halloween on a Saturday because it gave us more time to have Halloween fun with the kids. First we went to Kyler's soccer game. He did so well! He has made so much progress!!! Then when we got home we made some cool spiders by finger paining, had spider peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches, had cake that Kyler won at the cake walk the night before, baked a couple pumpkin pies, roasted a turkey, got all dressed up and went trick or treating with friends. Busy!!!! But so fun!!!

So here is one of the spiders we made...
And the spider PB & J sandwich....

The cake that Kyler and I won in the cake walk at his school carnival the night before....

Enjoying turkey....

The pumpkin pie that we baked...

And the kid's all dressed up for some trick or treating!!!

Now we have a few tons of candy!!!!! And I haven't had a single piece. I have been doing the Atkins diet. I am on day 11. For the first 2 weeks, I get to eat virtually no carbs. Then I will gradually add them back into my diet. It's not easy. I LOVE my carbs!!!! But I have already lost 6 pounds! Which brings me down 11 pounds since 2 months ago. Yay!

Wacky Day

Thursday was Wacky Day at Kyler's school. So he decided to wear his shirt backwards, spike his hair and put green hair spray in it, wear 2 different socks, and 2 different shoes. He sure was wacky- but still handsome!

Our Spooky Pumpkin

I am running a little behind in updating my blog. The days are just so busy and the weeks seem to pass way too fast. It's already November!!!! In three weeks we will be putting up the Christmas tree. Scary!

Well here is the pumpkin that Scott and the kids carved earlier this week. A ghost pumpkin!!!

Pumpkin Patch

While Scott was sleeping today I took the kids to Mother Nature's Pumpkin patch. The kids had the best time!!!!! I love the pumpkin patch for cute photos!!!! So here are a handful of the 200 I took!

Laynee is trying to pick up the pumpkin! She is trying so hard!

It was Kyler's idea to do a picture on this tractor that is in the gift shop! I guess he is my little assistant!

The only group shot we got!!!!

The kids loved the haw3 maze. They ran through it a few times! I laughed when Laynee beat all the big kids!!!

There were goats and cows. The kids loved the cow because it ate right out of their hands!

Then all the kids got to pick a small pumpkin and decorate it with stickers.

After a fun picnic lunch, we went and had the kids' faces painted!!!
Danika got a rainbow....

Laynee got a butterfly....

Makenzie got a princess wand...

Kyler got an American flag....

And then the kids had some cotton candy. I think it was the first time they had cotton candy! It was a hit!

We had a great day!!! Danika hugged me a million times tonight and kept thanking me for taking her to the pumpkin patch. She told me that I am "the best." Awwww. The only thing that would have made the day nicer is if Scott could have joined us. But he did spend the day with us yesterday when we went to Kyler's soccer game, out for lunch, and to an airplane show. This has just been a fun filled weekend! We have more Halloween fun planned for this week!!! Preschool Halloween party tomorrow!

Here are a couple layouts to document my obsession with dressing the kids in cute Halloween clothes!!! I am so excited to find some time to scrapbook this week!!! I haven't had much of any time for scrapbooking since I started back to school!

Halloween Sneak Peak!

I have a sneak peak of the kids in their Halloween costumes....
Aren't they super sweet?! They are all dressed up for a birthday party that we went to last weekend. They could not have been happier!!!

Sorry I don't have time to post more pics. Keeping up with school, the kids, the house, and my blog is tough!!!!

The Science Center- Robot Exhibit

I am a tad bit behind on my blogging thanks to getting sick 2 weeks in a row and a ton of homework assignments to complete while the kids were out on fall break! Kyler and the twins went back to school this morning and I got tons of homework done, plus I am feeling much better!!! But I really did enjoy having the kids home for fall break. We did so much!!!! A wedding and family reunion mini vacation, a movie, out to eat a couple times, the science center, shopping, MOPS, Bible Study, soccer game, and a birthday party. It is no wonder I got sick!!! We were on the go all week!

So here are some pics from our visit to the Science Center on Wednesday.....

Building their own robots (which was the coolest par tin my opinion)...

Then after the Science Center we had lunch at TGI Fridays at the ball park. It was fun!

And after that we spent 3 hours (no exageration) at Toys R Us doing Christmas Wish Lists for the kids. It took forever because the store had no idea what they were doing!!!! And then when I got home I looked up the lists online and found that they are all mixed up! Some of Kyler's toys are on Laynee's list, etc. Oye!!! Oh well!!! The kids had fun and now I have a great idea what they want for Christmas!!!
