Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from the Sears family!!! Here are some pics of the kids as they were leaving for their Halloween parties at school this morning! Are you getting sick of the Halloween pictures yet?!
We will be trick or treating in my parent's neighborhood tonight. The kids are excited and have been practicing what to say when they ring the door bell!

Fall Fashion Parade Coming to an end

I am actually bummed to see October come to an end. I just love the kid's Halloween clothes! I have no idea what they will wear next month. : )

I talked them into a very short photo shoot before school this morning...

You don't want to know the crazy things I had to do to make them smile for the picture. I am sure the neighbors got a kick out of it though!

Isn't Laynee just adorable?! She looks like such a sweetheart. Most of the time that is true...but there are moments....

And can you believe that Kyler has been wearing this shirt every October since he was 2? But I think it will be retired this year. He loves it so much because it glows in the dark. He is contantly going into the bathroom and turning off the light to check it out!

not my baby!

I just thought I would share a picture of one of the babies I photographed this morning! Isn't she adorable?!

I am by no means a professional photographer but I do have fun taking pictures and even more fun editing them!!! Plus it is an easy way to make a little extra holiday cash. I did a couple free shoots and now people are asking me to take pics and paying me!!! Plus it is a good way to get my baby fix in!!!

Jack the Pumpkin

We name our pumpkin "Jack" every year. Creative, huh? This year the kids wanted a scrary pumpkin. I will have more later. I am on my way out to do a photo shoot for 2 month old twins!

A Super Hero Bites the Dust

The kids were playing dress up last night. They all dressed up as super heros. They were so cute that I had to grab the camers.
But almost as soon as I took the camera out, Danika fell right on her face. I have no idea how she did it- but it was a hard fall on the wood floor. And so she had a nose bleed. And I still had my camera- so I took a picture. I only took it aftr we determined that it was not broken and just a bleed!!!
Danika is a bit of a klutz! But we love her just the same!

The Backpack

The "Big" kids carry backpacks with them to pre school. So of course, Laynee wanted one too! So I fouund one with Elmo on it on Clearance a while back and she fell in love!!! The funny thing is that the backpack is nearly as big as she is!!! But she could care less! She calls it her "Melmo pack pack." That can be translated into "Elmo Backpack."

And by the way- there is nothing in the backpack! What does a 2 year old need in her backpack?! She just wanted to have one so she could be like her sibblings!

Photos of Bryan and Tashana

Here are some of the pictures that I took of Bryan and Tashana right after they got engaged.

And here is the announcement that they FINALLY decided on!!!

Where did Baby Laynee go?

I have been working on some digital scrapbook layouts for an album about Laynee. As I look back through the pictures, I am amazed that I have already forgotten how small Laynee was. Laynee was our surprise baby but our family would never be complete without her!

Pumpkin Farm

We took the kids to Schneph Farms on Sunday. We hadn't planned to go until next weekend- but it was only 70 degrees out and we just couldn't pass up that kind of wheather. And it is a good thing since this weekend is going to be in the mid 90's. This is the first time I have taken the kids to the pumpkin patched and not been hot and miserable. It was an awesome day!

The kids LOVED it!!! They all rode horses. Laynee was a bit scared since she doesn't like animals too much but she still did it. Makenzie rode on the biggest horse they had!

We all went on a roller coaster together. I am starting to feel old- because the roller coaster scared me!!!! I was holding on for dear life. Laynee was sitting next to me and she seemed bored by the whole thing! Kyler and Danika were ahead of me. They didn't cry but they did decide that it was too scary and they ddin't want to do it again. I was surprised they even wanted to go on it in the first place!!!

They all rode the kiddie airplane ride by themselves. Dang those kids are getting big!

Our Puppy Graduate!

Our girl puppy, Candee, graduaed from her puppy class on Saturday. She was the star student in her class. She would do anything the instructor asked her to do. Of course that was not always the case when I asked her to do the same thing!!! But none the less- she is a very well behaved puppy and much calmer than her brother, Cooper.

Laynee the Patty Cake Baker!

Sorry it ook so long to post Laynee's pictures. We had a busy weekend and Monday are always tough since Kyler has his piano lessons.

Since Laynee is too young to know what she wanted to be for Halloween- we chose for her. All the other kids decided to be what they wanted to be when the grow up. So I picked a baker for Laynee. She loves to eat so I think a job with food would be up her alley!

She is at the age where she cannot sit still long enough for pictures so I am going to have to do another photo shoot for her.

Makenzie the Ballerina

Makenzie has decided that when she grows up she wants to be a dancer! I told her that we should see how Halloween goes first.
It is supposed to be nice and cool this weekend so I think the kids will be spending some time at the park! Tomorrow they are going to see Grandma Lorrie and Pops.

Fireman Kyler

Kyle decided to be a Fireman for Halloween. It was not his first choice! First he wanted to be a "Big Blue Bush." I told him the store wouldn't have a big blue bush costume. He then said he wanted to be a tree. Again- I told him that the costume store wouldn't have a tree costume. So he looked at me with his hands on his hips and said "Well what kind of costumes does the store have?"

So here is Fireman Kyler...

A clean Toy Room!

Our toy room went through some major cleaning yesterday!!! Scott put together 3 sets of cubbies, a book shelf, and put more shelving up where the kids can't reach. We also put up a coat rack for the kids to hang their backpacks. We got rid of tons of broken toys and trach as well as some toys that the kids have grown out of or use as weapons. It looks so good!

Each of the cubbies has a basket with toys separated into categories. The three older kids quickly picked up on the system. But not Laynee! She takes toys and sticks them in the wrong bins. Then Makenzie stands there on guard and declares "This doesn't go here!"

We shall see how long the toy room stays this organized!!! Now my front room really looks like a pre school classroom!

Doctor Danika

One morning I asked Danika what she wanted to be for Halloween and she didn't even take a minite to think. She just shouted out "A Doctor!" And so here is Doctor Danika...

Pretty cute, huh? She now calls herself Dr. Danika quite a bit!!! And once we went with Scott to his work and she announced to one of the doctors that she was a doctor too.

MORE Halloween Outfits!

I took over 150 pictures today of the kids! That's a lot, even for me, sense they were in school for 6 hours of the day!!! We tried on their Halloween costumes this afternoon and took some pictures. Kyler's and Danika's pictures turned out great- but Laynee and Makenzie weren't in the mood. I'll just have to try again!!! As I put the girls to bed, Danika said "I had fun wearing my costume, mommy."

I am still editing the costume pictures but here are a couple of the girls before they went to school this morning in yet another Halloween dress. That's three for this week! Thy only got one new one. The rest are from last year. And Laynee's outfit is a hand-me-down.

The Piano Man

Now how did Kyler get to be this big already???? Grandma Lorrie and Pops got him piano lessons and I got to go and watch this week. He was very excited to have me there- even if I did whip out the camera!!! Doesn't he look excited to have his picture taken?!

His first recital is in November and I am excited about that!

So I bought them matching Halloween outfits and I have been anxiously waiting for October 1st so that they could wear them. So this morning when I got them dress- there had to be a photo shoot!!! I bribed them with french toast sticks : )
