Not much happening

Sorry, I haven't posted in a while. We really haven't been up to much. Just the usual stuff- scott's classes and work, the kid's school, Kyler's piano lessons and Kindergarden prep class, routine doctor appointments, etc. I'm not saying it's not busy- but just not photo and blog worthy! Here are just some random pics from the week that I thought were cute!

Now don't the twins look like the best of friends?!

This is Kyler with Candee. He really loves that dog! And whenever she comes inside, she runs righ for his lap and jumps. She is a big dog!

Look how long Laynee's hair is!!! And I am happy to report that she is potty trained. She has some occasional incidents- but doing really well!

Just love this photo of Danika. And or course, she is sporting a Valentine's Day dress. You know that I love holiday clothes!

A quiet house!!!!

I am not kidding! The house is really quiet today! Everyone, but me, is at school! It has been a long time since I have been home alone! And it is exciting! I am hoping to get some scrapbooking done. I just went to pick up pictures and I found this one...

Kyler learned how to write his name this past week!!! One day he was playing on this toy (we call it the drawer!) and he came up to me and said "Is this my name?" When I looked closely- it really did look like his name!!! So I wrote it out for him (the one on top) and he coppied it underneath. Not bad, huh? I know that lots of kids can write their name long before they turn 5- but Kyler doe not like to sit still and so learning his letters has been a chore!!! But he is finally getting it and I could not be more proud! And by the way- he is doing amazing in his piano classes! He really gets it!!!

Yesterday it hit 80 degrees! Ao for dinner we ate outside and the kids spent a lot of time playing in the backyard. I love this wheather!

Kyler's Dino Birthday Party

Wow- we have a had a long weekend! The weathr was amazing! It was 77-79 each day! So we spent the weekend riding bikes, going to the park, jumping on the trampoline and having Kyler's 5th birthday party!!! He picked a dinosaur theme and he had such a good time!

This is Kyler with a good friend from his piano class.

And here is my birthday boy getting ready for cake!

Now isn't this cute?! I got dinosaur noses for Kyler and for the winners of the games. Now check out his cake...

Tashana's mom made it and it was so cute that I hated cutting into it! But it was good!
Kyler got lots more gifts. Right now he is watching one of his new movies and will be asleep very soon as everyone was exhausted!

Winter in Arizona

Can you believe that the high for today is 77 degrees?!! Isn't that crazy?! I just love the winters in Arizona!

So we got Kyler a new bike for his birthday and the kids have been outside riding every day this week!

Kyler has his birthday party on Sunday and since the weather is so nice- we are going to have it in the backyard!

Happy Birthday, Kyler!

Can you believe that my baby is 5 tomorrow?!!! Yikes!!! Last night I put together a little collection of photos of Kyler from the past five years.Isn't he so handsome?! And he is such a great big brother and helper. Plus, he is very smart and constantly makes people laugh.

We celebrated his birthday the entire time we were in Disney. He wore a pin and dozens of people wished him a happy birthday. He thought it was magic that they knew it was his birthday (he can't read yet!). Plus, he had people sing to him at 3 different restaurants! He even had a cupcake for breakfast!!! He liked it so much that he licked every last bite of it!!!!

So tomorrow, Kyler is bringing cupcakes to school to share with his friends in class. Then we are going to pick him up early so he can ride his new bike that we gave him!!! He got to pick what we are having for dinner. Do you believe that he picked Meatloaf???? I am also making his favorite dessert- Banana Cream pie.

Then on Sunday, Kyle is having a dinosaur birthday party with some of is friends.

That is a lot of celebrating! And he told me today "Mommy, my birthday is going really fast."

I'm Back!!!!

I cannot believe that it has been so long since I posted!!! After the holidays I came down with the flu and then I left for my Disney trip with Kyler and my aunt Kathy on the 5th. We just got back last night and so I thought I would share a little from the trip! I took about 450 pictures, so picking a few of my favorites was tough!

Here we are waiting to get into the Magical Kingdom! Kyler had no idea what Disney was so he was interested but not sure what to expect. He sure did jump right out of bed when I told him it was time to meet Mickey Mouse!

That is my aunt Kathy all the way on the left. She took us on this trip! Lucky us!

One of Kyler's very favorite characters at Disney was Buzz Light year! He spotted him and just darted to him. And he got a Buzz toy that he could not put down for most the trip! I liked Buzz too- he had a stamp. Anyone who stamps is alright in my book!

Here we are going into Hollywood Studios (formally MGM). We got to go in an hour early because we were having breakfast with Leo and June from the Little Einsteins. Kyler has been in love with that show for a couple years. For a while, it was the only thing that we ever watched!

Here are a couple of the Einsteins!
My aunt's favorite pary was the Animal Kingsom. There was much more in this park than the last time I visted (6 years ago!).

Kyler was in love with Dinosaurs before we left for the trip. But after having dinner at the most amazing restaurant I have ever been too, T Rex, in downtown Disney- Kyler is now obsessed!!! In the Animal Kingdom we went on a ride called Dinosaur. It was so scary that I was sure he would be in tears. But I was surprised to look over and see that he loved it!!! So he picked out a couple dinosaur toys and carried them everywhere.

Yesterday we had a very long travel time. We had to get up at 5 am (3 in AZ) to carch a bus to the airport. We had to wait around a long time as our flight didn't leave until 10:30. We stopped in ST. Louis and we weren't supposed to leave the plane as it was continuing to Phoenix. But after the plane was all boaded they announced that a heating unit for the engine was broken. Hmmm, I wonder if it was broken when I was riding the same plane 30 minutes earlier??? We sat on the plane for 45 minutes before they let us get off and grab some food. Then we re boarded and waited another 20 minutes. Then they announced that the plane could not be fixed and we had to wait for a new aircraft. It was another hour before we were in the air! Kyler enjoyed watching the snow come down. I was scared that if we didn't leave soon- we might not get out of there!!!! When we arrived in Phoenix last night we were tired!!!!

We had so much fun but it good to be home!!!
