Fun in the Sun!

While the rest of the nation is welcoming Fall, we are still in the midst of summer here in AZ!!! We are all sick of the heat, but the best way to deal with it, is to be in water!!! Yesterday we had a VERY busy day. Kyler had a soccer game. He did so well!!! I am very proud of the impovements he has already made!!! And he is having fun which is the most important part! After soccer, we went out to lunch. Then we went to the Hamilton Aquatic Park!!! Very cool pool and play area!!!! The kids had so much fun. Kyler asked if he could live there. Lol!!!!! After the pool, we went to San Tan Mall to have Ice Cream and get a shirt for Kyler's school picture day. THEN we went to my parent's house for a Birthday dinner for my brother. It was a day full of fun stuff!!!

We have tentative plans to go camping again next weekend!!! The fun never ends with this sweet family!!!! I love them to the moon and back!!!

Family Camping Trip

We took the kids for our first family camp trip this past weekend. We just went to Mount Lemon since it was close and the weather was great. The kids had so much fun. When I put them to bed tonight they said that can't wait to go again. Kyler said it was the best campout ever. So cute!

The kids favorite part was the camp fire and smores! After we ate we sang kiddie songs around the fire. Oh so fun!

Scott found a rope swing going across a small canyon. All of us gave it a try!

And we went to Rose Canyon Lake for a picnic....

The kids did so well!!! They all slept perfectly in the tent!!! And they LOVED going exploring. The collected sticks for the fire and pinecombs to bring to school. We are looking foward to our next camp trip!

Radiothon

Last night, we took the whole family up to Phoenix Children's Hospital for the KTAR Radiothon. I didn't even think I would be nervous, but for some reason- I got nervous right before we went on the air. It was just so weird. Their were so many people and it was such a well oiled machine! And I have never been on the radio before. Scott, Kyler and I did the interview. I think it went well. It happened so fast!!!

I hope that our story helped the hosiptal. We do believe very strongly in the cause. Phoenix Children's Hosiptal in a non profit hospital. That is not the case with most hospitals. So they depend on donations to keep the place going. I hope that you never need to bring a child to PCH, but if you do- you will feel blessed that they are there!!!! They have some of the top pediatricians on the west coast!!! And they care so much about making kids better. AND about taking care of the families too.

Ok that is enough of my advertising!!!! They did video tape our interview. If I can figure out how- I might put the video up on this blog. We'll see!!!!

Rainy Day Layout

What a nice lazy Saturday morning! I am scrapbooking on my laptop while watching cartoons with the kids! And I am looking foward to date night tonight!!!

Scott's Surprise Birthday BBQ

Happy 28th birthday to my VERY best friend!!!!

Scott has clinicals all day today, but the kids and I have some big surprises for Scott when he gets home!!!! First, we bought him a grill for his birthday!!! It's really nice!!! And then, we have a surprise BBQ party planned for him tonight!!!! He has no idea!!!! The girls and I have been busy baking, shopping, cleaning, and wrapping!!! Everything is ready for his friends and family!!! It is the least I can do for my fantastic husband on his birthday!!!! But there's more!!!! This Saturday, we are leaving the kids with grandma and going to the Diamondbacks game!!!

First Day of Preschool!

Last night we got great news!!! The twins had been on a wait list for a preschool. And last night the teacher called to let us know that she had a sudden opening for them! They started today!!! The girls were excited!

When I picked them up, they were very excited about a painting they did today and show and tell on Friday. So happy!!!

Science Center

Here are a few pics from our trip to the science center last weekend....

The kids had fun! And the next exibit coming to the science center is a robot exhibit. So we are going back very soon!!! And since a memership was cheaper than 2 visits- we became members. Now we can go anytime we want this next year!!!

Writing Names

The twins can write their names!!! Wooo Hoo!!! I have been working on it with them in our little homeschool preschool. I am glad to see that this stuff is paying off!!!!

So I wrote their name on the top and then they copied it underneath....

Not too shabby, huh?!!! I am proud of them! They have come a long ways in the past three weeks! But I still have my fingers crossed. They were on a wait list for a pre school. And the teacher called to say that she has one opening and possibly a second one in the next couple of days. And Danika and Makenzie are next on the list!!! I love them dearly, but preschool would be a dream come true for this mommy!!!!

So today our house is being painted. I am very excited about this. But I have to keep all 4 kids out of the house today and tomorrow. That is not easy!!! Right now we are camping out at McDonald's. Then we are going to Gilbert to see G Force (again!). And maybe a little playing at the splash pad.

We took the kids to the science center in Phoenix yesterday. They had a very cool Lego exibit. I have plenty of pics. But I forgot to load them on my computer before I left the house. So they are coming soon!!!
